A home to early Larry Heard & Frankie Knuckles productions, Gherkin Records was one of the most influential House imprints in the late 80s. Brett Wilcots and Jim Stivers distributed a huge number of stone-cold classics from a pretty exhaustive list of of house & techno legends, before the operation wrapped up abruptly in 1991.

Finn McCorry selects an hour of records from the labels near-perfect core catalogue - a wealth of dreamy vocal cuts and a slew of early acid house experiments from Larry Heard under his Gherkin Jerks alias.
