A Drive Through Motown: Tereza
My mix focuses on female Motown stars of different generations: the first ladies of soul and R'n'B: from poster figures like Diana Ross, Tammi Terell, Queen Latifah, Zhané and (my favorite) Erykah Badu to - at least to me - lesser known artists like Barbara Randolph or MC Trouble.
I thought I knew a thing or two about Motown, but preparing this mix I found so much great music I have never heard before so I am excited and feel honoured to celebrate and pay homage to these unbelievably amazing Black women. - Tereza
