Formed in 1987 while the members were attending university in Toyko, Fishmans have had a long, unpredictable trip through the music industry, and have technically never offically retired the band, despite the tragic passing of their vocalist Shinji Sato in 1999.
Drummer Kin-Ichi Motegi keeps the spirit of Fishmans - and their legacy of seminal, inventive psychedelic rock and dream pop - alive.
