Blue Condition

Blue Condition

Blue Condition has been played on NTS in shows including James Rene, featured first on 25 September 2020. Songs played include Fool's Gold.

1) Initially formed in 2005 as a recording project, Blue Condition has recently become a full live performing band. Its music ranges in style from the contemplative emotional state to the fist-in-the-air rock anthem. Blue Condition creates the sounds of the blues rock era re-interpreted through a modern lens. Where excess is the rule of thumb, prepare to experience the best of the blues.

The bands influences are blues/classic rock/alternative (progressive guitar playing by Eric Johnson, Jeff Buckley, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Andy Timmons, ZZ Top and ACDC).

Blue Condition plays a a blend of guitar and vocal driven blues/classic rock/alternative with big, catchy pop hooks.

Mainstream artists comparable to Blue Condition instrumentally are The Eagles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Free, The Black Crowes, Gin Blossoms, Chris Whitley, and ZZ Top. Vocally, they echo The Eagles, Jeff Buckley, Edwin McCain, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.

2) S.O.B. was initially called Blue Condition, forming in 1970 with future Saxon Graham Oliver on guitar, Steve "Dobby" Dawson on bass, and John Walker on drums. Their style was blues rock and hard rock. Shifting the line-up, Blue Condition changed their name to S.O.B. in 1974, taking inspiration from the 1972 Free album Tons of Sobs.
