Wes Pendleton is a producer, rapper, and addition to the Illect lineup. He began his career in 2006 as a member of Rhyme Council, a group featuring E-Pistle, R-Swift, and Young Joshua. He released his beat tape, My Life Complete, the following year before embarking on several other releases and production credits with muzeONE, Phanatik, The Ambassador, Lecrae, and Everyday Process. In 2009, he released the compilation album Word & Deed and then his breakout solo project, The Paste-Up EP, which has been downloaded over 10,000 times.
Wes started getting his hands dirty in music production in 2000 with vinyl and an MPC before finding his unique style of production in 2003 on Garage Band. He now works with Logic Studio, and his beats are sample-based but feature more of his love for gritty soul and blues. He has also focused on his style as a vocalist, steadily gaining respect as a rapper.
The passion, hard work, and faith that Wes Pendleton has for hip-hop and soul music shine brightly in his work. He hopes to bring an east coast/soul sound to the camp, mixed with stories of life and the proclamation of his faith in Christ. With his continued progression in projects like The Paste Up EP, the best is yet to come from this hard-working artist.
