Der Verfall has been played on NTS shows including ONY, with Der Verfall (Vocal Mix) first played on 15 April 2020.
Der Verfall is a dark trance / techno project of producer Alex Butcher, Alexander Abraham and Kai MacDonald.
Under the name of Lexikon the trio released their first single Der Verfall in 1998, together with an English version of the song titled The Ruin. After the name change, Der Verfall recorded their second single Der Verfall #2 in 1999, followed by Vater Unser, Abfahrt und Der Mussolini. Several of the singles could be found in the German and Austrian charts for several weeks after their release.
In 2000 their first (and to date only) full-length Angst im Wald was released on Wea Records, consisting of 14 hard trance songs containing dark, morbid, rectited lyrics.
