There more bands know as Seesaw. 1) Three girls, two boys from the area around Leiden.Their songs have a concrete form. The loud parts are heavy in their climaxes while the quiet songs are bare and shameless in their emotional directness. In some songs the dynamic changes are sudden while others have a smooth build-up. The duo (sometimes trio) singing adds a dreamy and psychedelic sphere. The combination of noisy melancholy, tensed and rapturous melodies, poppy lightness and sincere singing makes Seesaw a fresh, charming and passionate popband.
In the beginning of 2004, Voorhout-based band Seesaw has decided not to continue with the present arrangement of members. Shortly after releasing the third CD "Violent Elegance", guitarist Jason Langdon had already left the band. Only for live-gigs, he was replaced by Cees van Appeldoorn (Zoppo), but now the rest of the band has decided to chuck it. The close co-operation between the bands Seesaw and Zoppo (Seesaw's singer Astacat was formerly singer in Zoppo, Seesaw's guitarist Corno Zwetsloot produced the Zoppo CD "Les Aumonts") is continued because Corno is the new bassplayer of Zoppo. At this moment, it is not yet clear in which form the core of Seesaw (drummer Ineke Duivenvoorde and guitarist Corno Zwetsloot) will continue.
