Keith Farrelle Cozart (born August 15, 1995), known professionally as Chief Keef, is an American rapper and record producer. Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, he began his recording career as a teenager and gained early regional recognition for his mixtapes in the early 2010s. Chief Keef is widely credited with popularising the hip hop subgenre drill among mainstream audiences and is regarded as one of its originators.

His fifth mixtape, "Back from the Dead" (2012), produced the single "I Don't Like" featuring Lil Reese, which became a local success and marked his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Following a bidding war between several major record labels, Chief Keef signed with Interscope Records. The label later re-released "I Don't Like" along with "Love Sosa," which went on to receive quintuple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Both singles appeared on his debut studio album, "Finally Rich" (2012), which achieved moderate critical and commercial success and remains his only major-label release.

Chief Keef has since released several independent studio albums, including "Bang 3" (2015), "Bang 3, Pt. 2" (2015), "4Nem" (2021), and "Almighty So 2" (2024), all of which charted on the Billboard 200. His guest appearances on "Bean (Kobe)" by Lil Uzi Vert and "All the Parties" by Drake both reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
