Shemboid has been played on NTS in shows including Field Work, featured first on 8 February 2020. Songs played include Myths Of The Prehistoric Future.

Shemboid is the solo project of Alan "Shem" Sharples who is based in Leeds, UK. He uses guitar freakout, electronic noise, drones, loops, voice and field recordings blended together to form sound collages and psychedelic drone/noise freakouts. He's been playing for years and years. The Shemboid project started in about 1999/2000 when Shem started recording using a computer and he has been experimenting on it ever since. Shem has made many albums which he has issued as CD-Rs in very small quantities, mainly to friends and people he meets locally, or at his occasional gigs. Influences include Faust, Can, Nurse With Wound, Vibracathedral Orchestra, Residents, Throbbing Gristle, Velvet Underground, JOMF and much of the psychedelic drone-noise scene.
