K1

K1 has been played on NTS in shows including Party Socks w/ Minus Kendal, featured first on 2 February 2020. Songs played include Hard-Steppa.

There are several artists who produce music as "K1."

There is K1, Keith Tucker, a dj and music producer from the US, who also uses the alias Optic Nerve and DJ K-1.

Kingz One (K1) is the name for a group of passionate, talented performers who first rose to the top as members of the multi-platinum selling, internationally known Latin group Los Kumbia Kings. They received multiple accolades while part of that group, including: three Billboard Awards, ten Tejano Music Awards, two Furia Musical Awards and four Grammy nominations, one of which was for the debut CD “Amor, Familia, y Respecto”.

In 2003, the members of K1 made the decision to part ways with the group and began to create their own style-a mix of Latin Pop/Kumbia/Reggaeton and other sounds. They began promoting themselves around Texas, California, Mexico City and other areas. “Nuestro Turno” is the name of their debut CD, which was released February 10th, 2004 to critical acclaim. The first single, “A Que Te Pongo (I Bet I’ll Make You)” became an international hit. It was nominated for ‘Song of the Year’ at the Tejano Music Awards in 2005. Other nominations followed, as well as an award for ‘Most Promising Band of the Year’. Media outlets such as the Dallas Morning News and Laredo Morning Times praised the group as talented musicians who are more than just former Kumbia Kings.

After a seven year hiatus, K1 have returned with the CD “Resurrecciòn”, released December 13, 2011. The first single, “Mañana” , has already spent time at the number one spot on KSAB Tejano radio station in Corpus Christi. Other notable tracks from this CD include “Si Me Quieres Tu” featuring Frankie J. and Don Trilo of Trilogy Mafia-a song with bachata flavor, and “Dame” featuring DJ Kane. With the release of this CD, K1 are ready to embrace the promising future that awaits them.
