Halfby has been played on NTS in shows including Aloha Got Soul Presents: Home Grown, featured first on 3 September 2019. Songs played include Beach Baby Be Mine, Rover and Welcome To Old Island.

Halfby is the solo project of Kyoto, Japan resident artist, DJ Takahiro Takahashi. He is very active in Japan's live music scene. His style is based on Breakbeats and Hip hop but is also influenced by a wide range of other musical styles including Rock, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Bossa Nova, Reggae and Calypso.
