Saffron

Saffron has been played on NTS in shows including Queen Kong, featured first on 16 August 2019. Songs played include Touch Me (Saffron Mix) and Touch Me (Saffron Mix).

There are several artists named "Saffron";

1) Samantha Sprackling (born Samantha Marie Sprackling, 3 June 1968, Ibadan, Nigeria) is more commonly known as Saffron. She also performed for two years in London's Starlight Express. She has Portuguese, Chinese and English ancestry. She speaks fluent Cantonese Chinese.

Saffron enjoyed her first success with N-Joi from 1990-91 and after splitting with the group, released her first solo house single "Circles" in 1992, followed by "One Love" that same year as well as "Solitaire" and "World of You" in 1993. That same year, she became the lead singer of the dance band Republica. Following the break up of Republica in 1999, she worked with The Cure, appearing on the track "Just Say Yes".

Saffron also sings on The Prodigy's "Fuel My Fire" (from their 1997 album The Fat of the Land) and Junkie XL's songs "Crusher", "Spirits", and "Beauty Never Fades" (from his 2004 album Radio JXL: A Broadcast From the Computer Hell Cabin).

She is currently working in a new band, Swarm.
