Altres has been played on NTS shows including Alien Jams w/ Chloe Frieda, with La Marche Futile first played on 16 June 2013.

Altres misappeared in Dundee, Scotland in 1983 playing electronic rock music with synths, sequencers and guitars. Inspired originally by the baroque soundscapes of Tangerine Dream, the industrial noise of Throbbing Gristle and the sophisticated electro-pop of Yello, Altres' music is a swirling miasma of psychedelic improvisations, soaring melodies and precision-crafted rhythms. After a lengthy hiatus in the 1990s, Altres returned to active service in 2003 and have played many showcase gigs in Scotland's major cities over the last four years, including such unique locations as Dundee's Mills Observatory at the Autumn and Spring equinoxes in 2006/07 and the Elemental Arts Festival on the Ardfern Peninsula. Altres have just released a two-disc CD-R album called "Tripping the Dark Fantastic" which features one disc of remastered material from 1983-1986 and one disc of new material from 2003-2006.
