Primitive Man has been played on NTS over 10 times, featured on 13 episodes and was first played on 16 July 2019.

Primitive Man is a blackened sludge metal/doom metal band formed in February 2012 and features Ben Kennedy on Drums, Ethan Lee McCarthy on vocals and guitar (Clinging to the Trees of a Forest Fire, Death of Self) and Jonathan Campos on bass (Reproacher).

Their debut full length Scorn was released in 2013, followed by Caustic in 2017 and Immersion in 2020. In 2022 they released Insurmountable, followed by Suffocating Hallucination in 2023. The band also released a number of EPs, singles and splits.
