Kim's music is a unique blend of classical piano, ambient synthesizers and effects, with rich melodies, harmony and meditative atmosphere.
‘Meditations’, released in December 2008 is the latest album by Kim Carter, and is a mix of classical piano, ambient synthesizers and rich effects, creating a meditative atmosphere full of beautiful melodies and emotive harmonies.
In a world so full of stress and anxiety, it is very needful to be able to come away into another world of peace, calm, and beauty, to refresh and restore your soul and spirit in a river of sounds that literally wash away the cares and strains of the moment .
"Altogether most interesting and enjoyable and it is all rewarding to listen to again and pick up more detail and gain new impressions…. never too intrusive, over-dramatic or eccentric, does not draw too much attention to its individual parts but works well as a whole in every case." Michael Tolkien
‘The Proposal’ is the first album by Kim Carter, released in 2007. It is Inspirational, emotive and meditative, with an ambient, classical, and experimental feel. There are some innovative trance-like rhythms, and the whole album is unusually creative and original. A must for anyone who loves electronica/classical/experimental music.
There are tinges of Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jarre. Brian Eno, Tomita, William Orbit, and Beethoven.
I think it is an album that will really grow on you, and you'll probably notice new sounds in it each time you listen. Do have a listen to the whole album, as I especially like the last few tracks. My personal favourite is 'I'm in love'.
