The Wibbley Brothers

The Wibbley Brothers

The Wibbley Brothers has been played on NTS in shows including Max Tundra’s Rotogravure, featured first on 15 May 2019. Songs played include Der Wawazawa, The Wonderful World Of Terry Wibbley and Assorted Creams.

The Wibbley Brothers are Ronnie and Terry playing minimal electronic / new wave music, and sometimes even songs with guitars. Formed in 1977 as a side project of the Alsatian Frith Big Band, the brothers were spotted playing at a university ball by Rondelet Records and signed up to the label on the promise of a chicken salad each.

Their 1982 album "Go Weird" is once again available through Trubshaw's Astonishing Records - http://www.trubshawsastonishingrecords.co.uk/

After 38 years the Wibbleys decided it was time to introduce the world to some new material, which resulted in the download-only "Link Wray EP" in April 2020. Meanwhile the brothers' long-awaited difficult second album, "Mornin' Jack" is scheduled for CD release by Trubshaw's in December 2020. It does not include the track "Mornin' Jack".

Ronnie and Terry are occasionally to be seen performing their strange yet catchy songs in venues north of London. For the latest information visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Wibbley-Brothers-568453533185944/
