Cedrik Fermont [aka C-drík Fermont, C-drík, Cdrk, Kirdec, Y-drík, M-drík, F-drík and many other "-drík"] is a multifaced vegan artist, academically trained musician, dj, singer, composer and drummer ; he is electroacoustic composer Annette Vande Gorne former student [Conservatory of Mons, Belgium]. Of Greek, Zairian and Belgian descent, born in Congo [Zaire], he lived in Belgium and later in the Netherlands, C-drík is an eternal voyager and is now on "never ending" world tour.
He strated his first project in 1989 and juggles in between many projects and genres [electro, noise, breakcore, digital punk, electro-acoustic, industrial, ambient, free jazz, etc.]. His various other incarnations include Ammo [with John Sellekaers / Xingu Hill], Axiome [with Olivier Moreau / Imminent], Moonsanto [with Sellekaers & Silksaw], Ambre [with Moreau & Sellekaers], Dead Hollywood stars [with Sellekaers & Hervé Thomas / Hint], Tetra Plok [with Rob Dublo and Zoopsie], Elekore [with Marcos Destructos / One man nation and Shaun Mindfuckingboy / Fallen world], Crno klank to speak only about a few.
Connected to visual art [He has also learnt declamation, theater and improvisions], he composes soundtracks for theater, exhibitions, sound installations, fashion shows and short movies [Blanc murmure asbl, 3point5, RTBF, Télé Sambre, Babel Q Companie, Charleroi Danse / Patrick Flament, Giovani Guzzo, Les théâtres du mercredi in Belgium, Wim Reiff Gallery, B52, Kunsttour, in the Netherlands, Ðào Anh Khánh Studio in Vietnam, the GDMDC in China]. And last but not least works in his mastering studio/record labels Syrphe and Textolux.
In 2006 he won the prize of the best soundtrack during the festival of experimental short film Fenêtre sur cour in Paris. The movie was made by Gisèle Pape and edited on dvd by Ad noiseam.
During the summer 2006 he composed and played a musical score for the Eisentein's mute film The strike in Riga, Latvia [festival Les nuits Blanches].
