Alien Christ

Alien Christ

Alien Christ has been played on NTS shows including Loose Trax, with The Frequencies Of Fear first played on 12 October 2019.

There is more than one artist with this name.

1) An alias of Marc Acardipane aka The Mover. He released several records on his PCP label under this alias. The Alien Christ music tended to be softer and a bit more minimal in feel compared to the Mover stuff. As Alien Christ he released 4 records between 1991 and 1993, with one remix released in 1997

2) Alien Christ, the Sydney, Australian post-punk group: pictured above Sonically-driven, intense rock music with dark undertones, straying through rock, electronic, pop, alternative and goth territories.

Revolving around Matthew Bright, formerly of Distant Locust and Krang, Alien Christ formed in 1997 and made two recordings through Endgame Records - the EP in 1999, and the LP in 2002 (released in 2005).
On these releases the lineup was: Kym Blattner (previously Alternahunk) - vocals Jasmin Guffond (Alternahunk, minit, supercute) - bass/keys Stu Olsen (Box the Jesuit)- drums Matthew Bright - guitars/keys

Alien Christ is a remnant of the vibrant Sydney underground scene that existed through the 90s. Jas, Matt and Stu have each been involved with creating new music in the Sydney scene for years.
