Amfibian is the name of the band led by songwriter Tom Marshall, who is best known for his association with Trey Anastasio, and their collaborations in songwriting for Phish.
Marshall's lyrical vision is apparent in Amfibian's 2004 release, "From The Ether", and this vision is complimented by the individual talents of the other band members. The members of Amfibian have changed on a rotating basis since 1999, with Tom Marshall being the influential constant.
The current incarnation of Amfibian includes: Tom Marshall, Anthony Krizan, John Hummel and Todd Lanka.
After months of intense recording in Anthony Krizan's studio in Raritan, NJ, Amfibian is preparing to release their third and most anticipated album 'Skip The Goodbyes'. 'Skip the Goodbyes' has been described as a lyrically superior album with an eclectic mix of solid song writing that gets better every time you hear it. Old friend Trey Anastasio lends his talents to the title track of this record on lead guitar.
Tom recently joined Trey and his band on stage at Webster Hall in NYC to perform "Skip The Goodbyes" for the first time in front of a live audience. 'Skip The Goodbyes' is due for release in January of 2007. An accompanying tour is expected.
