There are at least three aritists/bands named Høst; 1) a Norwegian progressive rock band that existed from 1973 to 1978, and 2) a black metal band from the US, which is also known as Hennes Siste Høst 3) a Drum and Bass, Halftime, and Dubstep artist by the name of HØST from the UK.
1) Høst is a Norwegian heavy progressive rock band. They formed in the small town of Knapstad, Norway in 1973 and split-up in 1978. They were influenced by bands like Wishbone Ash and Yes. They were one of the first bands to write their lyrics in Norwegian. The band released two studio albums: På sterke vinger in 1974 and Hardt mot hardt in 1976. The compilation Extra! Extra! was released in 1977 containing songs from their first two records and a couple of previously unreleased tracks. Another compilation, Live & Unreleased was released in 1994, contained a radio session from 1975, four songs with English lyrics from the short-lived band called Ice which was formed from the remnants of Høst, as well as three songs from a reunion tour in 1991.
2) American Black Metal band from Minnesota. Debut album “Høst” was released in 2007 under the band name Hennes Siste Høst by Init Records limited to 500 copies on CD format. The name of the band translates from Norwegian to English as Her Last Autumn.
