Junior Rafael has been played on NTS shows including Stone Island Presents, with Dancing Chaps first played on 4 October 2018.

Junior Rafael is a 43-year-old Chicagoan of Puerto Rican descent. A Music Box regular in its mid-80s heyday, Junior started making his own tracks at the end of that decade, but his insistence on projecting his upfront sexuality through his music meant that he found it hard to get his tracks onto vinyl. These tracks (recorded in 1991) would have remained lost forever were it not for a chance meeting and discussion with one of the Mighty Robots. Junior is delighted that his music will finally find an audience, sixteen years after he laid down the tracks.
