Oh-OK

Oh-OK has been played on NTS shows including Keel Her , with Brother first played on 9 October 2018.

Even though their entire recorded output consists of two EP's and a compilation cut in the early '80's, Oh-OK weren't your average band from Athens, Georgia. Led and formed by singer Hopper, bassist Lynda Stipe (sister of Michael Stipe) and drummer David Pierce, the group were unique for the poppy sing-song nature of their first EP (Wow Mini Album), a 4 song 45 rpm 7" record with the original line-up of Hopper, Stipe, and Pierce, and the more introspective, mature workings of their second/last release (Furthermore What) in the early '80's featuring Hopper, Stipe, Matthew Sweet and new drummer David McNair. Lina Hopper started Magnapop with guitarist Ruthie Morris, and Pierce and Sweet started the power-pop duo The Buzz Of Delight, and Sweet went on to a successful recording career with Columbia records.
