Womensaid has been played on NTS shows including Optimo, with Soft Hell first played on 19 December 2017.

Brought together through heartbreak, WomenSaid formed on Table 13. With one member having industry experience, and another picking up a bass for the first time, they were playing live not long after their inception in 2017. The band's first EP 'Magick!' followed a year later on Optimo Music. Clashing genres, they are inspired by the avant-garde that influenced the electronic music scene of the late '70s and early' 80s.

Jim McKinven was previously in Altered Images and worked for many years in Martin Rushent's Genetic Studios; he is however, one component of this transgenerational band. Fellow partner in sleaze Eddie Brooks also performs and releases music under Dirt Brooks, while Rachel McDermott is a multi-disciplinary artist working both sonically and visually. Completing the line-up is DW Stone; drummer with a penchant for fur, feathers and Funk.

WomenSaid continued recording and producing music throughout 2020, culminating in the release of their hotly anticipated follow-up EP 'Pure Empathy' in July, released on Table 13 records. Catch them at Pop Mutations II!
