A jazz fusion band that was originally based around keyboardist and composer Joe Zawinul (July 7, 1932 – September 11, 2007). After his death, his fellow The Zawinul Syndicate band members decided to continue his legacy under the new name, The Syndicate. In 2012, the group published 'File Under Zawinul', featuring six previously unreleased recordings with Joe Zawinul himself.
