Warlock Pinchers

Warlock Pinchers

Warlock Pinchers has been played on NTS shows including The Bennett Show, with Anthem Five first played on 3 October 2018.

Hailing from the 303 "Grind" scene of the early-to-mid nineties, The Warlock Pinchers made a statement to the pop alternative-grunge scene that they didn't have to conform. Some songs done with drum machines set above 120bpm were the norm, but humor and a pseudo-satanic style accompanied with distorted guitar riffs in a punkish style made their sound unique, and apparently got them labeled "rapcore" and just outright punk rock. Their crazy stage antics and obsession with Fruit Stripe Gum and Jolt cola was well known. They used many props and often disrobed onstage.

Many garage and basement shows turned into shows at local venues and even some minor touring. They had a strong cult-like following all through the late nineties, as far as this local knows.

The group is reuniting in August of 2010 with Melvins drummer, Dale Crover to replace the long lived drum machine.
