Paul Page was a lifetime member of the Hollywood/La musician's union. He was a piano player, singer, band director, artist, writer, and composer. He published many albums and wrote hundreds of songs. He worked for NBC radio in Chicago for 10 years. He played piano and sang. He conducted a Hawaiian big band throughout the Midwest and in CA. In 1975 the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers in New York City added Mr. Page's name to their "Songwriters Hall of Fame, as a tribute to the hundreds of songs he had written. He was a member ASCAP. He was born in Indiana 1910. He was married to Florence Day for 21 years, and then to Elinor (?). He divorced her once, and remarried her. He loved Hawaiian music and played in Hawaii for many years. He played in a trio at the Outrigger, and a single at the Tahitian Lanai piano bar for years. He wrote a weekly article, Chief Opunui Vews Da News" in a Hawaii paper. His most famous original song was," Kilroy Was Here", 1946. He wrote and published Passport to Paradise with 69 of his original songs .He wrote and published "Songs of the Islands" by 64 of the best composers of Polynesian Music around the world.- Pub. Hawaiian Professional Songwriters' Society. He was an artist of oils. He lived and played in Hollywood many years (played in a few movies - bit parts). He auditioned for a movie role that John Wayne got. He was considered by many very handsome, witty, and talented. He lived out his life in Lake Montezuma, AZ. His daughter, Paula Drake, and his son, Paul Brown, are his only children. He passed away in 1997.
