The Legendary 1979 Orchestra has been played on NTS shows including Moxie , with Gets Deep first played on 4 December 2013.

Disco/House/Funk DJ and producer Andrei Idu, began the Legendary 1979 Orchestra in his native Romania prior to relocating to the Netherlands in 2010 to complete a master study. The deep disco house project was inspired by the madness of disco's heyday in 1979, and came to fruition as a during his free time as a student. He remained in the Netherlands after finishing his studies, applying his studies in management and entrepreneurship to his passion for music by forming his own label, Legendary Sound Research.
