Tuff City Kids is an alias of Frankfurt based DJ's and producers Gerd Janson and Lauer. Janson, head of Running Back label and Lauer started to remix names as Azari & III, Tensnake or Roland Appel before releasing own material.

First Tuff City Kids EP came out in 2012 at Berghain's sublabel of Ostgut Tonträger, U-Ton. After Bobby Tacker EP followed a string of releases on various labels, including Delsin, Live at Robert Johnson and most notably Munich-based Permanent Vacation Recordings, where they released debut album called Adoldesscent in 2016.
