Philip Carden Thornalley was born in Worlington, Suffolk, England on January 5th, 1960. After an apprenticeship for RAK studios as an engineer Phil became the producer for The Cure on their fourth album, Pornography. He then joined the band to tour as bassist for 18 months while also producing and playing the iconic bass line on ‘Love Cats’.
