Berlin
01:00 - 02:00

Once mixed under a sunshiny roof in Cologne, now developed in a snugly room in Berlin: 150 Session has no clue what to do, missed all goals and comes around from all directions. ML's worldly sets are prepared spontaneously, marrying avant-electronics with foretime chants, odd dance emotions, man-made minimal tones, psychedelic fuzz and some neon light jazz. No country, no flag – outernational without a cause!

Jaymie Silk

Jaymie Silk

Jaymie Silk has been played on NTS over 10 times, featured on 24 episodes and was first played on 6 November 2016.

Jaymie Silk doesn’t make straight up-and-down techno or house music. The Paris-based artist draws from arange of influences informed by his Afro-European heritage, his teen years as a rap producer and a subsequent move to Montreal, where he fell into the city’s ballroom scene. The result is truly idiosyncratic music that’s as richly varied as his path.

Described as a "prodigy" or in the lineage of "great black innovators of house and techno" by Juno Daily, it is by releasing projects and remixes on labels like Fool's Gold, Shall Not Fade or Pelican Fly that he asserts himself as a unique artist.

His album "The Rise and Fall Of Jaymie Silk & Rave Culture" and his recent EP "Rub Music Vol.1: Artificial Realness" have been acclaimed by the electronic media, which ranked them in the list of the best albums of 2022 and the best projects of January 2023. Among the first to use AI-generated voices, Jaymie has shown, once again, that he still defies the norms, as evidenced by the notion of Rub Music that he introduced this year (contraction of Rave and Club Music).

''Freedom'' is a driving force in Silk’s music, both in its political message, whether subtle or overt, and in his refusal to play by stylistic “rules”.
