Cath Coffey (born Catherine Muthomi Coffey) is one of the earliest members of British rap band Stereo MC’s. Their 1990 single “Elevate My Mind”, in which Coffey was the vocalist, was the first British rap single to reach the US pop charts.

After the release of their album Supernatural, Stereo MC’s toured with Happy Mondays and EMF then went into the studio to release their critically acclaimed album Connected in 1992, in which Coffey featured on popular tracks “Connected”, “Ground Level”…
