Fendika has been played on NTS shows including Anthony Chalmers, with Nargi (Agaw) first played on 23 July 2018.

Fendika is a great Ethiopian band. Traditional but also very up to date, funny and direct.

The band members are all from the Azmari-bet from Melaku, the Fendika. A Azmari-bet is a traditional pub where the music every night excites to dance. This group Azmari's is the house band of 'Fendika', the famous Azmari Bet from Addis Ababa, led by dancer Melaku Belaye. The one-stringed fiddle the masinqo is played by the virtuoso Indris Hassen.

The drums, the kobero be played by Misale Legesse. Selamnesh Zemene is the new singer who just released a new solo CD and is becoming quite famous. Exuberant and impassioned!
