Chris met Brian at the Humdinger House in Bellingham, where Brian made fun of Chris' hat. Chris later met James Reisen, through Brian and their band at the time, Language Arts. James R. drove a red truck. Jess met Chris at school, through Anthony, who is not a member of this band. Some time later, Chris, James, Brian, and Jess met J. Hall at a 4th of July picnic where they played frisbee and swam in the Colombia River. About a year later they all started playing as The Caps. Members of this band are also in The Daffodils and Mild Stallions. In 2007 They released their "Plastic Rings E.P."
