Bangalore took off when Phil Kaplan (guitar, Men & Volts, Fabulous Roys, Funeral Barkers) and Sven Larson (bass, Toni Lynn Washington, Big Jack Johnson, The Gulf) decided that their ad-hoc drumming workshop needed a third person to complete their Pyramid-That-Supports-the-Eye, to achieve their vision of a new Pluto-meets-Mississippi/Ganges/Niger Delta rhythms-and-blues dance and romance music.
