DJ Food has been a regular guest on Solid Steel, first appearing on 13 February 2015 and most recently on 7 July 2017. DJ Food has been played on NTS over 20 times, featured on 24 episodes and was first played on 21 September 2014.

Originally produced by Coldcut on the Ninja Tune independent record label, the DJ Food project started in 1990 on the premise of providing metaphorical "food for DJs".
