Nick Sargent has been played on NTS shows including Jaro Sounder, with Eighth Wonder first played on 4 December 2017.

Starting as a Fine artist and becoming a self employed composer in 1984, Nick Sargent whilst working deeply with music, his contribution to the subject of creative music technology area at a national level is firmly rooted in learning and teaching issues, through delivering papers and conference panel membership, to extending the range and depth of the emerging 'questions' in a subject that has a relatively short academic history.

Currently, Nick Sargent is a lecturer at Bath Spa University.

Early success grew from recording and publishing through the 'production music' libraries of Warner /Chappell and Carlin Music. These continue to have worldwide use in broadcast media, Including full orchestral recordings of his compositions within this portfolio of work, also being able to secure a wide range of individual commissions in the thriving (and then over- funded) areas of advertising, corporate film and conference.

Upon moving to Bristol in 1990, his compositions began to include a wider range of work - theatre and dance projects, and a series of collaborations with poets as BBC Radio 4 specials. This work extended the range and use of technology as a personal primary creative tool.
