"Los Angeles based Oxóssi was raised on a vast array of music since early childhood: from jazz artists like Duke Ellington and Oscar Peterson to more dynamic progressive pop/rock acts like Yes, Supertramp, Rush and Emerson Lake & Palmer. Later in his youth, Oxóssi acquired a taste for hip-hop through the stylings of J Dilla, Common and MF Doom, which would eventually form the basis of his initial electronic production endeavors.
