Alison Statton & Spike has been played on NTS in shows including Idle Hands w/ Zane Landreth, featured first on 28 November 2017. Songs played include Pontymister, Unspoken Word and Crossroads.

Alison Statton (vocals) and Spike Williams (violin, viola, guitar) were founder members of the band Weekend, formed in 1981 after the split of celebrated low-fi electronica pioneers Young Marble Giants. Between 1991 and 1997 they released the EP 'Weekend in Wales' and two studio albums, 'Tidal Blues' and 'The Shady Tree'.
