Dr. West's Medicine Show And Junk Band has been played on NTS shows including The Cosmic Principle w/ Nick Mitchell Maiato, with The Eggplant That Ate Chicago first played on 29 October 2017.

Dr. West's Medicine Show and Junk Band was a psychedelic rock band which is known for producing Norman Greenbaum and a minor hit called "The Eggplant that Ate Chicago". Unlike any other band of their genre….they took the Jug band scene into a whole new direction. Painting their faces, along with a trippy lightshow, set this already different band even further apart from any contemporaries. Norman Greenbaum would later have a hit with the song "Spirit In The Sky".
