Spike

Spike

Spike has been played on NTS over 90 times, featured on 83 episodes and was first played on 1 December 2013.

1) Spike – Spike (born 21 April 1985) is a Romanian hip hop artist. His discography includes five studio albums; Proiectul Mata (2003), Relatii cu Publicul (2006), Ramanem Prieteni (2009), Lumea lui Paul (2015) and Propaganda (2018).

Spike rose to prominence in 2004 when he recorded "Probleme Personale" with Ombladon on his album Condoleanțe. Spike was then invited on tour in Romania with Ombladon's band Parazitii.

2) Spike - Jonathan Gray (born 4 February 1966), known professionally as Spike, is a singer-songwriter and founder of the English rock band The Quireboys. He co-wrote every track on their UK chart-topping debut album, A Bit of What You Fancy (1990).

As a solo artist, Spike has released six albums; Blue Eyed Soul (1998), It's a Treat to Be Alive (2006), So Called Friends (2008), 100% Pure Frankie Miller (2014), and Spike's Late Night Song Book Volume 1 and Volume 2.

Spike has also released two albums with fellow British singer-songwriter, Tyla, under the name Spike and Tyla’s Hot Knives .

3) Spike - is an alias of IDM/Experimental/Glitch artist Elliott Perkins, aka Phonem, whose only release under this pseudonym has been "Operation Binary 24".

4) Spike - The US Heavy Metal band Spike was formed in 1973 by guitarist David T. Chastain, drummer Les Sharp, bassist Mike Skimmerhorn and Denny Kuller (Bass, Vocals). They recorded and released the album ‘The Price of Pleasure’ in 1983 and a Live album a year later. Spike toured the USA with many acts, the most well known being Black Sabbath. Due to differences with their management, they broke up and formed a new band CJSS in 1984.

5) Spike - Down-tempo electronic dance duo founded by producer Darrin Friedman. The performers were Pamela Mitchell (vocals) and Barrelhouse J. M. (raps). Mitchell's soulful voice gained them international fame with their first single, Respect in 1998. There was only one album released by the duo: The Album (1998). According to the information of Polydor, a second album was planned, but has never materialised.

6) Spike - and DJ Spike are pseudonyms used by Keith LeBlanc.

7) Spike - from Leiden, Netherlands (see also http://www.discogs.com/artist/1603277-Spike-50), latest LP: Orange Cloud Nine presents 16 amazing tracks from the 4 LPs – shimmering, lo-fi oddball stoner pop played with a deft musicality. Clean concise pop songs, filtered through a heavy haze of marijuana, produced on cheap equipment, and almost entirely in isolation that have finally come of age.

8) Frans "Spike" van Zoest - from The Hague, Netherlands, is the guitarist and founding member of the alternative rock band Di-rect and the lead vocalist/guitarist of The Deaf, a Dutch garage rock band formed in 2007.
