Lima 13 is a Peruvian Dark/Gothic/Post Punk band. They formed in 1984 with Ricardo Gavilano in vocals, Fidel Peña and José Saldaña in guitars, Dennis Peña in bass guitar and César Ruiz de Castilla in the drums. In the beginning their music was near to Punk Rock. The sound they made was labelled by themselves as 'sonido Lima 13' (Lima 13 Sound). They held many concerts in Lima, Peru, until they disbanded. Dennis Peña formed the Post Punk band Eutanasia. After Eutanasia disbanded in 1987, Lima 13 reformed again. This time, their songs were darker and more gothic-like. Now, Dennis Peña was the lead singer; José Saldaña played guitar; Fidel Peña played bass; Pedro Kanashiro played keyboards; and Oswaldo Rocha on drums. They started to hold concerts again in places such as 'No Helden' and 'La Casa Mágica'. Finally, in 1990 they recorded the demo 'Los Sueños Mueren Primero' (Dreams Die First), which had problems on advertising and distribution due to the band's desire of not wanting to do something commercial. However, the record was quite succesful, and influenced many Peruvian Bands. Finally, Lima 13 disbanded again the same year. In 2009 Lima 13 reformed again, holding many concerts during the rest of the year. Current line-up: Pedro Kanashiro (Vocals) Oswaldo Rocha (Keyboards) Henry Ramos (Bass) Josué Vásquez (Guitars) Gustavo Neyra (Drums)
