There are three bands called Pipedream:
www.facebook.com/Pipedreamcc
A 3 piece pop punk band from Cardiff, South Wales heavily influenced by 90's emo. Pipedream combine the sounds of Jawbreaker and Mock Orange to create a sound that separates them from other bands trying to do the whole “pop punk” thing at the moment. They sound equally as fresh as they do a band straight out of the 90’s. The band currently releases through What We Should Be Doing. All material available for "name your price" download at http://pipedreamcc.bandcamp.com/releases
A Norwegian band, consisting of a group of gentlemen in the beginning of their twenties, and they originate from various parts of Norway. Kjell Ove, Robert and Jan were born and raised on two islands by the town of Ålesund, the town in which “Norway’s answer to David Beckham” was born. Asgeir was snug as a bug growing up in Steinkjer Punckrock City. In the mid-eighties Herman was born in the quiet village of Kåfjord just outside of Tromsø, and turned the place upside down. Einar is from the town characterised by asphalt, kebabs and retail parks: Strømmen. At the moment the band members live in Oslo where they want to have a go at making it in the music industry. With previous experience from bands such as Auden Prim, Adoor, Ped Pals, Cara, The Hole Company and Kark they form a tight and explosive live band. The word “pipedream” means to hope for something which is not possible to achieve. In other words, a form of escapism which replaces ordinary life with inspiring, yet nearly unattainable dreams. This is reflected both trough their stage performance and their musical expression. Taking advantage of diverse musical backgrounds and influences, the band has merged the different impressions and expressions together resulting in an energetic and melodic rock orchestra.
Also, there was a Canadian band, members of which are now part of Readymade, which is currently on hiatus.
