General Echo, a top reggae deejay of the late 1970's, created a signature style of chatting nearly 100% explicit sexual content (now known as "slackness") in dancehall reggae music, paving the way for future Jamaican superstars such as Shabba Ranks and King Yellowman. Along with releasing three albums (12" of Slackness, Ranking & Swing, and Ranking Slackness) Echo performed regularly on Stereophonic sound system alongside singer Madoo and deejays Johnny Ringo, Welton Irie, and occasionally Brigadier Jerry and Lone Ranger….
