Often working on rudimentary and opaquely designed "chiptune" hardware, and asked to use pseudonyms to avoid the approaches of rival video game companies, the women of Capcom's seminal Sound Team composed a multitude of now iconic video game standards. This one hour special covers everything from Manami Matsumae and Tamayo Kawamoto's work on early SNES classics such as Mega Man & No Way Home to Akari Kaida & Sayaka Fujita's contributions to the groundbreaking survival horror of Resident Evil & Dino Crisis

Hard Meat

Hard Meat

Hard Meat has been played on NTS in shows including Acid Memories w/ Astral Vibes, featured first on 13 June 2017. Songs played include Free Wheel, Freewheel and Burning Up Years.

Hard Meat was a Birmingham, UK, progressive folk-rock trio led by brothers brothers Mick (guitars, vocals) and Steve Dolan (bass, vocals) and joined by schoolmate Mike Carless (drums, percussion).

The trio released two records for Warner Brothers Records in 1970, the eponymously titled Hard Meat (WS 1852, released ca. February 1970) and Through A Window (WS 1879, released ca. September 1970). Their first 45 side was a reworking of The Beatles' song 'Rain'. Wretchedly bad sales ended the band’s career, although they now enjoy a cult status among period vinyl collectors.
