Mittagspause has been an influential pre-punk band from Düsseldorf, Germany. The band formerly existed as Charley's girls with a slightly different line up (?). Mittagspause released a self titled 2x7inch, another 7inch called "Paff" and a live album called "Punk macht dicken Arsch". The studio recordings have been reissued on a CD. Mittagspause has been an important influence for german punk scene in Germany during their short time of existence and turned then into Fehlfarben which became one of the most prominent bands of the so called "Neue Deutsche Welle", NDW.
