Mania D. has been played on NTS in shows including Illum Sphere, featured first on 16 May 2017. Songs played include Track Four, HERZschlag and Track 4.

Mania D. was a short-lived band, formed in West Berlin in 1978 when Beate Bartel met Bettina Köster and Gudrun Gut at their clothing store Eisengrau. They released one 7″ single, Herzschlag, on Monogam Records before breaking up in 1979(?).

Gut and Köster went on to greater prominence at part of Malaria! and are still both active today as individual performers and as part of various music projects.

In 2021, the compilation album "M_SESSIONS - RARE ORIGINALS" was released and featured previously unreleased tracks, demos, and live performances from Mania D., Matador (another project of Gut, Bartel, and Malaria! member Manon P Duursma), and Malaria!.
