In 1997 Cem Orlow came to Berlin. During 1999-2001 Cem Orlow organized under the title Blue Jet Production about 15 own produced Drum & Bass parties at several Clubs in Berlin like Acud, Bastard and Insel der Jugend. Guests where here among others Bleed (de:bug, exponence), Feed (exponence), Bass Dee (exponence), Current Value (position chrome), Hybrid (elektronauten), Kor (berlin breaks), Saiba (positon chrome).

After his Drum & Bass phase at the beginning of 2001 Cem Orlow regarding his preferred style of music, from producing own Deep House and Techno tracks to buying records from this genres to playing Deep House and Techno himself. Soon follows performances in venues in Berlin such as Deli, Lovelite, Golden Gate Club, Ostgut, Bastard, Roter Salon, Pfefferberg, Trend/ Boetzow-Brauerei and at private parties, to name only a few. Meanwhile he had also international bookings by clubs in Poland (Stettin), Switzerland (Basel/Bern/Zurich/Locarno), Austria (Vienna), Italy (Bologna) and in Turkey (Istanbul/Ankara) . Cem Orlow was spinning alongside with Ed2000 (dangerous drums), Peter Grummich (kompakt/ shitkatapult), André Galuzzi (ostgut/taksi rec.), Crossover (gigolo rec.), Romina Cohn (gigolo rec.), Alex Amoon (bpitchControl), Daniel Wang (Balihu/Environ/NYC), Marvin Dash (stir15 rec.), Oliver Koletzki (cocoon), Ser-touch (fg istanbul), James T Cotton (spectral), C Rock (cocoon club/stir15), Frankman (fm music), P.hono (shitkatapult), Nicky Blackmarket (blackmarket london), Carsten Klemann (playhouse), Losoul (playhouse), Jochen Heib (kompakt), Yapacc (perlon/multicolor), Bloody Mary (sender), Chica Paula (ocean club), Franklin de Costa (trapetz/multicolor), Desney Bailey (sonar kollektiv)…

His opinion on set: Cem Orlow regards Deep House as a floating and versatile music, which underlines its groove profoundly, suspended with gentle synthie-shades, and not just scratching the surface. He is looking for the harmonies between two music pieces, while both keep their authenticity. He is looking for a connection, each going with the other one, not tearing apart till they reach a completely new state of connection. The inner association of the musical lines are for him basic in the technical procedure. Cem Orlow strives for melting the records into a continuously tape, so that the deejaying don`t seem as a summery of parts of the discs but as a new deep definition because in playing together a own new composition is born. The secret of this fusion and that deeply banded relation is the magic of the Deep House music. Cem Orlow believes that the play with the volume and with the wealth of the encounters of both records let the space will get creative and abstractly. It is not the line of a pop song, which is expressed itself but the dynamics of the kind of mixing. In this is the scope of taking off, exemption, to unfold ones fantasy and to feel free by dancing, without any dictated determination. Personal freedom destines the beat of the Deep House out of any pathos and fixations.
