Arvid Tuba has been played on NTS over 10 times, featured on 14 episodes and was first played on 7 April 2017.

There have been two acts using the name Arvid Tuba.

1) Markus Arvidsson from Falun, Sweden began at the early age of 13 to record strange sounds. Around 15, in 1985 he released his first demo tape. It was heavy industrial collages and cut-ups. For rest of his grade school and through high school he would produce demos and play live frequently, gaining a fanbase over Sweden and at diverse places of the world as Japan, Canada, USA and over Europe. He gradually developed from the industrial to ebm, synthpop and dance music, though always with his very personal style. He released a tape and a single with Börft Records and mingled musically with the other odd participants of the swedish demo scene like Green's Restaurant and Psychic Pissbrain.

In 1992 he made a tv-debut, a home made promotional video and released the 7" single Att måla med svartsjuka. After that he more or less disappeared from the scene.

Since then ha has occasionally reappeared with limited distribution of tapes and cds and new material, among others his KISS-covers and some very beautiful songs like Den felande länken och Vakna väckarklocka! Vakna! released around 2000.

2) There also was an Amiga demoscene musician using the handle Arvid Tuba. By all accounts this was a different person, most likely inspired by the original. He was active between 1990 and 1994 in the demoscene groups Anal Intruders and Hardcore Design.
