The Swedish group Cinnamon was formed in 1993 Cinnamon’s music is hard to describe, you can hear echoes of Northern Soul, Kraftwerk as well as their European heritage with film, art and political turmoil.Cinnamon and their musical collective make music with visions beyond the year 2000. Cinnamon does contemporary music perfumed with nostalgia.The twosomes fondness for 60s spy movies melt brilliantly with Diesen’s breathy voice. Jiri Novak (songwriters, guitar, keyboards), Frida Diesen (vocals, Harmonica, Synthesizers, Vibraphone, guitar) and Per Linden (Keyboards, Guitars). The duo soon added bassist Samuel Laxberg and Christian Ekwall (Drums & Percussions). Their debut EP, Vox, was released in 1995; the full-length Summer Meditation soon followed. The 1997 album The Courier was accompanied by a European and American tour. The EP Many Moods of Cinnamon was released in June 1999; the full-length Vertigo followed in October of that year and was issued in the U.S. early in 2000.
