The Monzas (named after the car "Corvair Monza Spyder") started in 1961 in North Carolina with Ward May, Skip Henshaw, Nelson Miller, Roger Mercer, Sharon Copeland (née Henshaw), Linda Quinlan, and Bing Greeson.
